Roaming with AutoShare

AutoShare is happy to welcome members from our partnering CarShare Organizations to Toronto!

As a member of one of our partners, you get convenient, self-serve access to over 240 vehicles at over 135 locations across Toronto. AutoShare rates include insurance, parking and even gas (thanks to the Esso Gas Cards located right inside the ComUnit). Choose from a variety of vehicles in our fleet including hybrids, electric vehicles, pick up trucks, minivans and fun cars like the Fiat 500.

Our roaming agreement allows you to join AutoShare without needing to pay the application and membership fees!

Please note, hourly/daily rates and plan fees apply.

Criteria to Roam With AutoShare:

• You must be at least 21 years old
• Have held a valid driver's license for at least three years running
• Currently hold a full class "G" license (or an equivalent)
• Have NO speeding convictions 40 km above speed limit within the last 3 years
• Have a maximum of four (4) minor driving infractions within the last three years (6 points maximum)
• Have NO MORE THAN one (1) at-fault accident in the previous five years
• Have NO careless driving or criminal charges The member must also be in good standing (for example, no payment issues in the last 12 months)

How to Apply to Roam with AutoShare

Individual (one person applying to drive with AutoShare)

Household (more then one person applying to drive with AutoShare. All drivers in a Household account MUST already be members of the CarShare Organization they are applying through)

Please include your 'Home' CarSharing Organization and your Member ID, in the "Why did you decide to join today" field.

You can expect to find out if you have been accepted within 3 business days. At that time you will be given additional information on rates, vehicle use and any other relevant information from AutoShare.
